Amanda Allan, BA, Dip ION, BANT

Nutritional therapy involves giving your body the best intake of nutrients to be as healthy as possible. The entire body is made from food and water so our diet not only affects how we look and feel but also how much protection we have against ageing and disease.

The initial consultation involves completing a detailed questionnaire which assesses your current health objectives, medical history, symptoms, digestive profile, lifestyle factors and diet. If necessary, diagnostic tests are recommended for more detailed information on suspected food intolerances, adrenal stress, hormone imbalances, digestive complaints or heavy metal toxicity. This information will be used for an individual nutritional programme with specific dietary advice and a personalised supplement programme.

Each individual has different nutritional requirements affected by stress, environmental toxins and age. Nutritional therapy gives you the knowledge to cope with the demands of your current lifestyle with improved levels of energy, vitality and a healthier body.
