Integrative Counsellor | Adults and Young People
Carried out by Kate Rogers
Kate is a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She works with adults and young people, supporting them in finding their own path towards improved emotional wellbeing.
Kate offers a warm, compassionate and confidential space where clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding and work towards meaningful change. She believes that with greater understanding can come greater self-compassion, creating space to recognise our needs and make choices about how we want to move forward.
Kate works integratively, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT/ACT-informed approaches to tailor counselling to each client's individual needs.
Alongside her private practice, Kate works within charitable and community-based counselling services in Surrey.

When working with teenagers and young people, Kate understands that having a trusted adult who listens, respects and accepts them can be particularly important. Feeling safe, heard and understood can, in itself, be an important first step towards recognising needs, developing confidence and finding ways forward.
Kate offers a supportive and empowering environment where young people can explore their experiences in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them. This may involve creative approaches, developing a greater understanding of their thoughts and feelings, or simply having a space where they can find comfort and respite from everyday pressures.
Working with Adults
Life's challenges can sometimes leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward. After years of being brave, resilient or simply getting on with life, a significant event or seemingly small trigger can bring difficult feelings to the surface.
Kate supports clients in exploring their present difficulties, while offering the opportunity to understand how past experiences, beliefs and patterns may influence how they think, feel and relate to others. Through this exploration, clients can develop greater self-awareness, recognise their needs and discover new ways of moving forward.
Areas of experience:
-
Anxiety, stress and overwhelm
-
Low mood and depression
-
Low self-esteem and confidence
-
Perfectionism and self-criticism
-

-

-
Feeling stuck, disconnected or uncertain
